narubox™ ships local-first software products under the NaruBase™ brand. You install and run them on your own devices; we do not host your data or operate any service that processes it.

Your information is never shared. We do not sell, rent, or disclose your data to third parties. Once a NaruBase™ product is installed, all credentials, settings, scan results, and diagnostic output live on your machine and are entirely under your control.

We collect only what is necessary to process your purchase (e.g. email and billing information). Payment processing is handled by Stripe; we do not store your full payment card details. Our products do not transmit telemetry to us — the only optional outbound request is a manifest check for new releases, which can be disabled in product settings.

By purchasing, downloading, installing, or using any narubox™ product, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use in full. If you do not agree, do not use the software. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and narubox™ regarding the software.

Nature of the service. narubox™ sells standalone software licensed per user for a one-time fee — not a managed service, subscription, or professional engagement. You are solely responsible for installing, configuring, operating, and maintaining the software on your own devices. Redistribution, resale, sublicensing, reverse engineering for competitive purposes, or circumvention of license activation is strictly prohibited and immediately terminates your license without refund.

No warranty. THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND THE ACCURACY OR COMPLETENESS OF ANY DIAGNOSTIC, SCAN, OR ANALYSIS OUTPUT. We do not warrant that the software will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or compatible with any specific system or environment.

Operational responsibility. Output, diagnoses, scan results, alerts, and recommendations produced by narubox™ products are informational only and are not professional, legal, security, or compliance advice. You are solely responsible for any action taken — or not taken — based on that output, and for independently verifying results before relying on them for any business, security, or compliance decision.

Limitation of liability. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, NARUBOX™ WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, REVENUE, OR BUSINESS, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SOFTWARE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. NARUBOX™'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SOFTWARE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU ACTUALLY PAID FOR THE PRODUCT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. THESE LIMITATIONS APPLY REGARDLESS OF THE LEGAL THEORY ASSERTED, INCLUDING CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, OR STRICT LIABILITY.

Indemnification. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless narubox™ and its owner/operator from any claim, liability, damage, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use or misuse of the software, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party — including any unauthorized scanning, diagnosis, or monitoring of networks or devices you do not own or have permission to assess.

Lawful use only. You agree to use narubox™ products only for lawful purposes and in compliance with the laws of your jurisdiction. You may only scan, diagnose, monitor, or test networks, endpoints, or wireless devices that you own or have explicit, documented permission to assess. narubox™ disclaims all responsibility for unauthorized or unlawful use of its products by you or any third party.

Refunds. Every narubox™ product includes a free trial before purchase is required, so you can evaluate it before paying. Given this trial period, license fees are non-refundable once paid, except where required by applicable law. Contact us if you believe you were charged in error.

Service availability. We strive to keep our website and license-activation endpoints available but do not guarantee uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free access, and we are not liable for any unavailability. The software itself runs locally and continues to function offline once licensed; only release-manifest checks, license verification, and our website depend on online services.

Governing law and disputes. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the software will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Texas, USA, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue there. You agree to bring any claim only in your individual capacity, not as part of a class, consolidated, or representative action.

Changes to these Terms. We may update these Terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of narubox™ products after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
